At Avalon Healing Center, we believe every survivor deserves to be heard, seen, and supported—without exception.
Sexual violence affects people of all identities, but LGBTQ+ survivors often face unique layers of trauma. They experience higher rates of sexual assault, and yet, many are silenced by systems that ignore, misunderstand, or discriminate against them. Shame, fear of being outed, mistrust of institutions, and a lack of inclusive resources often prevent LGBTQ+ survivors from seeking the help they need.
We refuse to stay silent in the face of this injustice.
We are here to affirm, uplift, and advocate for survivors who have been overlooked for too long. Our support is survivor-centered, trauma-informed, and radically inclusive. We create space where healing is possible, identities are honored, and voices are heard.

44% of lesbians experience rape, physical violence, or stalking by an intimate partner, compared to 35% of straight women.
40% of gay men have experienced sexual violence, compared to 21% of straight men.
Bisexual people are 8 times more likely to experience intimate partner violence than their straight counterparts.
Transgender folks are 4 times more likely to experience violence in their lifetimes than their cis-straight counterparts.
